Support the Future
Tamamta funding from NSF ends August 2026. Our goal is to institutionalize Tamamta at the University of Alaska as a permanent program in support of Indigenous science. We believe in harmonizing Indigenous and western science and bridging the divide between all of us.
Do you?

Support a Tamamta Fellow
Donations made to support current & future Tamamta Fellows are for education & research. Things such as equipment and supplies for their projects and help with tuition and fees.

Indigenous Faculty Position
Tamamta would like to hire an Indigenous fisheries faculty position to be even more effective in teaching, advising, and elevating Indigenous knowledge systems & ethical research.

Create a Legacy
The foundation of Tamamta is the people. Support ongoing efforts to fully institutionalize Tamamta and leave a legacy of Indigenous scholarship.
Gifts to Tamamta are accepted through the UA Foundation and have only 5% administrative fees. We thank you for your support of our goals.
